POCOLA, Okla. — Choctaw Nation hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 4 to celebrate the relocation of the Choctaw Travel Plaza and Casino Too in Pocola.
"It was a tough decision to relocate this facility, but we deemed it necessary to continue to grow the LeFlore County area," states Chief Gary Batton. "We want to be able to provide the best food options and customer service amenities, including fuel, not only to our tribal members, but for our customers in the surrounding area."
The new 11,550 square-foot travel plaza will be open 24-hours a day, seven days a week with drive thru convenience. Also included, will be 12 covered fueling stations, an expanded deli and a full-service kitchen offering breakfast, lunch and dinner with seats for dining and a convenient drive thru.
The Casino Too will include some of the most popular slot machines available by offering 119 games for any gaming enthusiast. The expected completion date is August 2020.
The new Choctaw Travel Plaza and Casino Too will be located at 3380 Choctaw Road Pocola, OK74902. The current travel plaza will be converted into a parking lot to offer additional parking for guests at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola.
