The Choctaw Development Fund awarded S.L.A.B. BAR-B-QUE with a $5,000 forgivable loan.
S.L.A.B. BAR-B-QUE is owned and operated by Stephanie and Ray Valadez and serves Coalgate and the surrounding area. The mobile food service offers hickory smoked meats, including brisket, pulled pork, ribs, sausage and hot links, as well as sides.
Money from the Choctaw Development Fund was used to purchase a smoker, meat grinder and knives to allow S.L.A.B. BAR-B-QUE to increase its efficiency and meet increasing demand.
