Since Jan. 1, 2025, the Grow Choctaw team has been hard at work supporting communities within the Choctaw Nation Reservation through strategic and collaborative responses to Requests for Information (RFIs). These RFIs are a critical step in attracting new business, expanding existing industries, and bringing job opportunities to Southeast Oklahoma.
In just seven months, the Grow Choctaw team has submitted RFI responses for 10 different economic development projects, generating a total of 33 individual submissions. These efforts represent not only an impressive level of activity but also a strong commitment to helping communities position themselves competitively for business recruitment.
Notably, 6 out of the 10 projects were for manufacturing companies, reflecting a continued emphasis on growing this vital sector within the region. Manufacturing brings more than just jobs—it often stimulates infrastructure investment, strengthens supply chains, and supports long-term community development.
By collaborating closely with local communities, municipalities, and partners, the Grow Choctaw team gathers key site, workforce, infrastructure, and incentive information to produce timely and thorough RFI submissions. This proactive approach ensures that opportunities are not missed and that local communities are well-prepared to compete on a national level.
The continued efforts of the Grow Choctaw team showcase the Choctaw Nation’s dedication to fostering sustainable economic development and empowering communities across the reservation. As more RFIs come in and projects advance, the region stands to benefit from the momentum being built today.
